eco: Semantic Search will revolutionize the Web

A survey by eco, the foundation of the German internet economy, resumes that semantic search will be prevalent in the web by the year 2020 as the latest. 83 percent  of the experts felt sure about this. The report of the contribution mixes somewhat semantic search and semantic web. The semantic web is the issue of web data in semantic form. Semantic search can work with that but does not have to. Most solution of semantic search today refer to an own internal ontological system that is not published in the web.

But, as we have seen in the “mobile revolution”, things can go much faster. If people find out that they can rely on what they ask their mobile they will soon switch from keying phrases to talking to their phone.
